School Health and Safety Protocols
"Do It All" Approach
By following these steps, we can all do our part to prevent the spread of illness and protect our communities.
- Keep hands clean: Regularly wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Temperature check: Monitor your body temperature regularly. If you have a fever or any other symptoms of illness, stay home and seek medical advice.
- Wear a mask indoors, and outdoors (Optional): Wearing a mask is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of airborne particles. Make sure your mask covers both your nose and mouth properly.
- Get vaccinated when it's your turn: Vaccines play a crucial role in reducing the impact of infectious diseases. Stay informed about vaccination schedules and guidelines provided by health authorities and get vaccinated as soon as you are eligible.
- Open windows and doors to ventilate classrooms and common areas: Proper ventilation helps to reduce the concentration of airborne particles indoors. Whenever possible, open windows and doors to allow fresh air to circulate.
- Remember to stay home when you are feeling unwell: If you experience any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, or sore throat, it's important to stay home and avoid contact with others. Rest, seek medical advice if necessary, and only return to regular activities when you are feeling better.
By following these steps, we can all contribute to a safer and healthier environment. Let's do it all to protect ourselves and others.
