The program started with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by the prayer, CALABARZON March, and Bacoor Hymn through an Audio-Visual presentation. Mr. Jerico D. Castillo, Grade 11 Curriculum Chairman, gave his welcome remarks. Aside from congratulating the students, he thanked the Principal, Sir Adorando Darvin, the parents and teachers for their support and collective effort in the development and achievement of the students. The Master Teachers, Dr. Marita S Icay, Dr. Mary Ann Ilagan, Dr. Melinda O. Geronimo, and Sir Ruie Lorenz M. Reyes gave their words of encouragement. These were followed by an inspirational message from Sir Adorando R. Darvin wherein he introduced the theme of the celebration: “Transitioning to New Normal Education: Embracing Change and Diversity.” It was then followed by the sharing of teacher-life experience by Dr. Geraldine M. Tabing wherein she also gave encouragement to the students despite the challenges of the pandemic and congratulated the parents and guardians. Dr. Alma Teresa Corpuz also shared her experiences in teaching with distance learning. She shared about the struggle in making use of technology and online applications and coping with it through attending seminars and trainings, watching online videos, and seeking the help of her fellow teachers that helped in making her at ease in the use of the various technologies. She also highlighted the establishment of teacher presence, and open communication with students during this time of pandemic. The program proper began with the presentation of the Academic Excellence Awardees by the masters of ceremony, Ma’am Richweng F. Pacheco, and Sir Karl Dan Merck T. de Guzman. After this, selected Grade 11 students shared their experiences and challenges in learning in the new normal. Kenneth Hular from the ICT Strand, Abigail S. del Rosario from the HE Strand, Cresilda Montaño from the GAS Strand, and Kenjie Fortaleza from the HUMSS Strand. They narrated some of their struggles, from unstable internet connection, low performance devices, and the new learning environment; despite those, they also shared about how they tried to cope with these by focusing more on their studies and learning time management and setting their priorities. These were followed by a presentation of the Grade 11 accomplishment report which showed the different activities engaged in by students and teachers for the first semester. These were from the beginning of school year orientation, online “kumustahan” of modular and blended teachers, learning tablet distribution, first parent-teacher conference and card distribution, distribution of modules and retrieval of outputs, “bayanihan” cleaning of classrooms, uploading of self-learning materials, discussion of Psychological First Aid modules, and the attendance in the Know Elections Better Seminar. A message of support was then given by Transformational President Michael Angelo H. Pizarro of the Rotary Club of Bacoor to the students. Sir Ismael T. Santos delivered the closing remarks, congratulating and encouraging the students, and afterwards relating a fable of a mouse, highlighting to students, perseverance in achieving their goals.
