Humanities and Social Sciences is a strand that is dedicated for prodigy students whose mind is ready for a whole new level of wisdom and experience. This strand is for those who aspire to consider journalism, law, education or any social science related courses in college. When I was still considering to take HUMSS as my strand, I expect that it would be hard because the strand is broad and at the same time, the honorable careers came here. I browse the internet to look for the testimonies of current and graduated student about their experiences being a Humanista. As I browse, I noticed that the common ground for them is the word "challenging". But now that I am in the circle I realized that it will not be hard if you're passionate and dedicated because HUMSS will mold you to become a people - oriented, hardworking, critical, vocal and beneficial citizen of this nation. My plight being a Humanista for years is fun and at the same time I learned a lot from the people around me. I am surrounded with positive and open - minded colleagues and we are guided by teachers who are dedicated to mold the youth to a better individuals. If you're looking for school who offers quality and child friendly education, I highly recommend SHS in San Nicholas III, Bacoor City. The institution is an epitome of high standard and high caliber academe who are prepared to refine you. The institution also offers facility - wise learning area and student-friendly environment. A pro tip, it will not be hard if you always read and keep yourself updated in societal change that occurred in local and global platform. In addition, prepare your Promethean mind because in HUMSS, portfolio is everywhere! This strand is challenging in all aspects which includes projects and activities. But this strand will train you as early as now to prepare your mind and body to college education and don't worry, it's worth it at the end because you will learn from it as the saying goes "Experience is the best teacher".
